Mrs. Viger's Kindergarten students set 11 butterflies free last week as the culmination of their project learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. The class started out with 13 caterpillars in jars and they watched and recorded the changes each day as the caterpillars went through the chrysalis stage (two were lost at this stage) and ultimately emerged as butterflies. Mrs. Viger said watching the children's excitement as they observed the daily changes in the butterflies was "amazing."
