The Hall Will Be Alive with the Sound of Music... on Two Nights!

The Great Hall that is!

This year's Christmas Concert has long been on the calendar for December 14 -- and there will indeed be a concert that night. In fact, in order to accommodate as many audience members as, it will be a two-part concert! And, again, in order to accommodate as many people as can safely be allowed in the Great Hall and to better showcase our expanded music program, we have also added a second concert date -- December 19 -- to the calendar. Each concert will feature different performers and protocols, so please read carefully and mark your December calendars accordingly!

Our first concert will be held on December 14, as scheduled, and will be broken into two parts. The first part will start at 5:30 and will feature students in Noah's Ark and grades 3-5. Students are asked to arrive at least a half an hour early, by 5 pm. Our Noah's Ark students are asked to dress in pajamas; students in grades 3-5 should dress in their Christmas best! Students should enter via the Main Entrance and go to their classrooms. (Aides will be on hand to lead the littlest ones.) Parents and other ticket holders are asked to enter through the playground doors and gather in the cafeteria until called to the Great Hall, which will open at about 5 pm.

At the end of the first portion of the concert (at roughly 6:30 pm) all student performers will return to their classrooms; parents must sign them out from their classrooms. Students and their parents will leave the building through the Main Entrance -- unless, of course, they have other family members performing in the second portion of the concert. In that case, we ask that they go to the cafeteria and wait to be called upstairs when the Great Hall is reopened.

As the first portion of the concert is ending, folks will be arriving for the second portion, which will begin at 7 pm and will feature students in grades K-2 and Middle School. All of these students are asked to dress in their Christmas best! We ask that students in the second portion of the concert arrive a half hour early, at 6:30, and use the Main Entrance. Parents and other ticket holders are asked to use the playground entrance and avail themselves of refreshments in the cafeteria until called upstairs to take their seats once the first portion of the concert has ended and the Great Hall is reopened.

Each participating student will receive four tickets to whichever portion of the concert he or she performs in. Tickets will be collected at the playground entrance. The snow date for the December 14 concert is December 18.

The December 19 concert, newly added to the calendar, will showcase our Middle School Band, chorus groups and violinists. The concert will begin at 7 pm; students are asked to arrive one hour early, at 6 pm, and enter via the Main Entrance. Parents and other guests are asked to enter via the playground entrance. Chorus students should report to the Little Theater, band students to the band room, and violinists to Miss Dove's classroom. The dress code for all student performers in the December 19 concert is white tops and black bottoms, with an added splash of green or red!

Because the number of students performing on the 19th is smaller, no tickets will be required for entrance. The snow date for this concert is December 20.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!
