Ski Club @ West Mountain Registration Open (Grades 2-8)

Updated: Oct 2, 2022

Registration open until October 31, 2022 for ski club. Please email with complete permission slips and questions.

The 2022/23 SMSA Ski Club thanks you for your consideration in joining us at West Mountain this winter! Winter sports can be a lot of fun-just ask anyone who has finished sledding to the bottom of a giant hill! And just like when you are sledding, skiing and boarding is more fun with friends! If you are new to skiing/ boarding, West Mountain offers learn to ski/ board packages. Beginner lessons are held on a smaller learning hill, under the supervision of certified instructors.

If your child is in grades 2-8, please consider this wonderful opportunity to participate in a winter sport! It may be possible to earn pace hours by chaperoning in the lodge (we will need a chaperone for the lodge each week this winter). One chaperone per week will get a free ski pass just for skiing on the mountain with students!

Ski Club will be held on Wednesdays, starting on January 4, 2023.

Please read through the guidelines, rules, and pricing. If you agree to these terms please fill out the SMSA permission slip (in info packet) and visit to purchase your ski package. Return

the SMSA permission slip to Mrs. Trzaskos by October 31st. For more information or questions please email

Program for Season Pass holders (with verification by calling the front desk or by inputting your season pass number at checkout): Includes all the After School Program perks including discounted tubing tickets, discounted ski tickets, discounted adventure park tickets, discounted rentals and more! Please note there is a nominal registration fee for 2022-2023 season passholders. The RFID card fee does not apply for valid season passholders.

Program with Lift Access for Non-Season Passholders: Includes a program pass for the chosen weekday (non-holiday), and can be used on that day for the length of the 6-week program from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. If children choose to ski prior to 3:00 p.m. or on snow days they must purchase a discounted ticket. Additional ticket information can be found on the flyer. Includes all the After School Program perks including discounted tubing tickets, discounted ski tickets, discounted adventure park tickets, discounted rentals and more!

Add A Lesson: We recommend all After School Program participants enroll in lessons to advance their skills. Lessons involve a 1.5-hour group session where skiers and riders are grouped by age & ability. Skiers & snowboarders of all levels will have 6 weeks to learn to ski and snowboard while meeting new friends. A lesson is a great way to start things off.

Add Rentals: Our Rental shop, located at West Mountain, offers two types of rental options:

  1. Season-long rentals that you keep at home for the season and can use anywhere, and

  2. Six-week rentals that you keep at West which can be used during your program.

All renters will need to visit West Mountain Sports (across the courtyard from the Main Lodge) to be fitted for your equipment ahead of the season. Seasonal renters should register for the program and stop in soon after purchase to be fitted for equipment to take home and keep for the season.

Add A Meal Plan: The Meal Plan includes 6 meals to be redeemed during your child’s program time and day of the week. Each student has the option to choose one from the following:

  • ½ sandwich

  • Cup of soup or chili

  • Popcorn chicken

  • Hamburger

  • Hot dog

  • Grilled cheese

  • Slice of pizza

Students can also add a small salad or fries as well as add a small fountain drink or milk.

* Beginning in 22-23, all Program participants will be charged an RFID card fee. There will be an additional replacement fee if the card is lost, stolen, etc. Participants will need their RFID card to access the lift.
