Congratulations to the Romeos for the dedication and service to SMSA, and their nomination for the "Community Spirit Award" through the RCDA. Their nomination was honored at last Friday's Hope Reception held at the Train Shed at The Riverview Center in Albany.
The Hope Reception is a time to celebrate and a chance to make a difference for families and students who desire to attend Albany diocesan schools. The Hope Reception supports the Beacon of Hope Scholarship Fund and celebrates the exceptional scholars and talented students, dedicated Community Spirit Awardees, and outstanding Catholic school communities throughout the diocese of Albany!.
In a special way we recognize and honor Community Spirit Award recipients – individuals and couples who commit themselves every day to making a difference through their countless contributions in the classroom, on the field, and in the schools. Their dedication and service enrich our communities, strengthen the mission, and leave a lasting impact on our scholars.
The Romeos have dedicated countless hours of volunteerism and fundraising support for SMSA throughout the years. From the Green Committee, Fundraising Committee, to the Ticket to Ride car donation, we thank the Romeos for their time, energy, and generosity!
The Community Spirit Awards recognize an outstanding individual (or dynamic duo!) from each one of our Catholic school communities who go above and beyond, giving the immeasurable gift of time and talent to our schools. From the parishioner who helps in the cafeteria, to the grandparent who shares a love of reading with your children, to the co-chairs who enthusiastically lead important fundraising efforts, our Catholic schools benefit greatly from the love and devotion of so many exceptional individuals. The Romeos are truly SMSA nominees of this award.
Honor the the work of these dedicated volunteers by donating to the Beacon of Hope Scholarship Fund in their name and to the school community they commit their time and talents to advancing the mission of Catholic education.
