Your gifts to the Annual Fund make you a direct participant in SMSA’s mission of nurturing children through spiritual formation, academic excellence and emotional development.
If you were to visit the school, you’d see your Annual Fund gifts in action everywhere. Your gifts help buy new classroom materials, pay the teachers and heat the building. They help supply new uniforms for the Kerry Blue sports teams, religious retreats for the older students and festive graduation ceremonies for Kindergartners. In other words, Annual Fund gifts support the day-to-day operations of SMSA in practical, personal and important ways.
SMSA’s School Board works diligently to keep tuition as affordable as possible for as many families as possible. Tuition accounts for approximately 65% of the school’s budget. Parish support accounts for approximately 10%. Another large portion is brought in through the outstanding work of the school’s volunteer fundraisers. For the remainder -- approximately 5% -- we turn to you, our friends and supporters.
And each year, hundreds of you -- alumni and friends alike -- respond generously, making gifts to the Annual Fund totaling more than $60,000. For your support, we are tremendously grateful!
